1938: Gandhi refuses to accept All-India Muslim League as the sole representative of the entire Muslim Population of India. He writes to Jinnah. (Source: The Indian Annual Register, Vol-11, 1938).
1940: Sir Haji Abdullah Haroon President of the Sindh Provincial Muslim League in the course of a statement to press from Lahore declares that Mr. Jinnah has committed no crime in calling spade a spade; our province whole-heartedly supports the stand he has taken in dealing with Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad.
