EVENTS: 1854: Captain Goldsmid, Assistan Commissioner for Jageers prepare statement showing the result of inquires made into the claims to 42 charitable grants payable in cash in Shikarpur Collectorate. This be kept in mind that Talpur Government had granted money and grain Allowances to Syeds of Shikarpur Collectorate but, it was stopped by the British Government and Captain Goldsmid was assigned duty to conduct probe. 1931: Following sub-offices and office of the Congress Committee in Karachi are declared un-lawfull under the “Criminal Law Amendment Act” and they are raided by police: 1. Sindh Provincial Congress Committee, 2. Karachi District Congress Committee, 3. Sindh Satyagarah Council, 4. Karachi Satyagarah Council, 5. Boycott Committee, 6. Vidyarath Mandal, 7. Gujrati Kumar Sang, 8. Naujawan Bharat Sabha, 9. Karachi Vidyarthi Samagan, 10.Rashtrya Istri Mandal. 11.Shewak Dal. 1948: Sindh Hari Committee in its meeting of Working Committee held at Hyderabad demands introducing ‘Sindh Tenancy Act’ in Sindh Assembly and publication of ‘Masuod Report’ without fail. 1957: A big procession is taken out in Peshawar against imposition of One-Unit. 1963: Jamait-i-Islami is behind students’ trouble in Punjab, says Amir Muhammad Khan, Governor West Pakistan. 1968: I believe Pakistan as a reality and I honour her status & independence.
