EVENTS:
1919: Poster is published by the Larkano Khilafat Committee with Heading ‘Islam Zindahabad’. It has been announced that on 17th October Khilafat Day will be observed in Larkano and every Muslim must participate. The poster has been issued by Jan Muhammad Junijo, Abdul Ghaffar Pirzado, Moulana Muhammad Aqil, Seth Khudadad Surahio, Syed Muhammad Shah, Pir Turab Ali Shah, Pir Ali Anwar Shah, and Syed Nooruddin Ahmed.
1953: 300 Panahgeers are forced to leave Agricultural land in Sialkot.
1956: National Assembly of Pakistan start debate on election Bill, by which Joint Electorate in East Pakistan and Separate Electorate in West Pakistan is proposed.
1957: Serious differences in Cabinet are discussed in a meeting headed by President Major-General Iskandar Mirza and attended by Governor and Chief Minister of the West Pakistan.
1958: The Constitution of March 23, 1956 is abrogated, however, the country shall be governed as nearly as may be in accordance with that abrogated Constitution.
1967: President Ayoob’s Auto-Biography: ‘Friends,but not Masters’ is included in the syllabus in Karachi Region.
1988: PML, MQM reach understanding. Vice President of PML meets with Altaf Hussain.
1990: Asif Zardari is arrested in ‘Unar Case’, alleged involvement in kidnapping of a British citizen and depriving him of Rs. 17.5 million early this year.
