Bhagwanti

 Late Bhagwanti Navani.
  She was born on 1st February 1940 at Nasarpur, Sind. same birth place of Sain Jhulelal. She was forced to migrate to Mumbai India, along with her family of 3 brothers, 3 sisters and a widow mother. She sang Sindhi Folk Music such as Bhajans, Dohiras, Kalams, Lorries, Ladas, Sahras etc... She sang duets with Mahendra Kapoor, C.H. Atma and other stalwarts of her time, along with singing for the hindi film inustry.
She gave playback practically in all Sindhi Films after 1963, Jhoolelal, Ladli, Sindhua Je Kinare, Shal Dhiar Na Jaman, Hojamalo, Kanwar Ram, Halu Ta Bhaji Haloon, Pardesi Preetam.
She also acted as heroine in Film "Sindhua Je Kinare". She has given more than 3000 stage performances in India, Europe, Americas, South Asia, Hongkong, Japan in about 25 years. Her performances were for social, religious and cultural causes in almost every nook and stages of the world. She was judged as the Best Sindhi Singer many a times, given trophies, awards and certificates by all India bodies. She breathed her last on 22nd October 1986. She is rightly remembered as a "SINDHI KOEL". Jai Jhulelal, Jeay Sindhiyat.
