1835: Colonel Pottenger informs his Government that he has received some secret messages from Sindh Rulers and he intends to depute Lieutenant Burns to proceed to Hyderabad in this regard. (Source: letter No.70).
1919: Deputation of Larkano Khilafat leaders consisting of Seth Khudadad Surahio and Syed Muhammad Shah meet Haji Amir Ali Lahori, the President of Larkano Municipality to get permission for holding fucction to celebrate ‘Khilafat Day’ in Municipal area on 19th of October. Haji Amir Ali Lahori, who is also president of ‘Anjuman Islam’, Larkano, not only refuses to grant permission and ask them to avoid gathering people for anti-British Government purpose. 1922: Bhagwandas, local Congress Activist of Larkano is awarded 12 months imprisonment under 108 CPC for extending his cooperation to Khilafat Committee and participating in Non Co-Operation Movement. (Source: The Daily Al-Wahid, Karachi).

1945: Over 300 Nationalist Muslims from all over Sindh assemble in a conference at Karachi, and decide to create a new party to present a united front against the Muslim League during the election and create new political life among Muslim masses in Sindh.
