1939: Moulana Habibur Rahman, the Ahrar leader, speaking at the U.P Ahrar Political Conference at Meerut, asserts that the cry of ‘Islam is in dander ‘raised by the Muslim League is baseless and is intends to mislead the ignorant Muslim masses for the selfish end of those who claimed to be the leaders of the community.

1954: Pakistan’s first people’s luxury train ‘Punjab Express’ steams out of Karachi bound for Rawalpindi.
